Holidays

I can't believe how fast time has gone by, Abby is almost 6 weeks old, I am going back to work in almost 2 weeks. I am preparing myself to go back to work, it will be hard the first few times I leave her for an entire day, but I know she will be well taken care of by my sister and mom, I am greatful for their help and look forward to seeing them bond with Abby. Christmas was busy, we spent Christmas Eve with my family, Christmas day was spent with Jeff's family. We enjoyed spending time with the Ostlers who were visiting from Ohio. The day after Christmas we went to Ogden to see my grandparents, it was the first time the Poulter side of the family had seen Abby, I think htey really enjoyed seeing her. Of course we can't make a trip to Ogden without stoping to see Grandma Child! The same Sunday we went to a missionary homeconing of Jeff's cousin. We had a very busy but wonderful time with all of our families. Now it is time to welcome the new year and see what is in store for us, I look forward to watching Abby grow and explore the world it should be an adventure and I am ready for it!

Great Grandma Child can't get enough of her newest great grandchild, she is a very proud grandma!( greatgrandbaby #21)

Two weeks

Abby is two weeks old today, I can't beleive how fast the time has gone. Jeff and I are completly in love with her. Everyone always says that you can't imagine your life without your child once you have one, it is so true. We have already noticed her changing and growing, I know that will only continue, but I wish she would stay small and cuddly forever. I have been really bad at having my camera around when she is awake to get cute pictures, I am working on that and will post newer pictures as soon as I have time to download them.

Thanksgiving Baby

We were able to come home yesterday evening. We were happy to sleep in our own bed again, and have Abby sleeping in her bed as well. The first night home went pretty well, we managed to get about 6 hours of sleep, Abby has been a good sleeper so far, I am not sure how long that will last, but we will enjoy it while we can. She has already changed since she was born, We keep saying that we wish she would just stay little like this forever, but we are exciterd to watch her grow and become her own little person.

Here are some pictures of her first couple of days-

Recent News

Life has been going well for us since the last post. Jeff is starting week two of the new term at school, this will be his last term working on his Associates degree, then he will start working on his Bachelors, which should only take about another year or so. I can't wait until he is done, it will be  nice to not have to worry about a school schedule any more.Paying back both of our student loans is another story. I wish I could say that todays doctors appointment went bttter than it did, I am 38 weeks and 5 days, I am 90% and 1 cm, which has not changed in the last two weeks. The doctor said that he would be able to induce me once I am one week overdue, which would be December 2nd. I have a feeling that I am going to follow in the footsteps of my mom, I was 8 days late! I guess I can't get too bumed out yet, I technically still have a week until my actual due date, I just wish that my body would start helping me out more. This Saturday is my last scheduled day of work, so with only three shifts left I will stay busy for another week and see what happens.

No Baby yet

We ended up going to the hospital at about 7 pm last night to see if the contractions I had ben having were making any difference, of course with my luck nothing had changed since monday. But while we were there the nurses decided that I was dehydrated, and gave me fluids which are amazing I felt like myself for the first time that day. They also noticed that I had a very slight fever, which resulted in having a nasal wash and being tested for the swine flu I was really frustrated about that, I have had both flu shots and have no symptoms whatsoever ( I think the test will be negative, It would sure make my life alittle easier). I also had an ultrasound to check fluid levels, everything is fine, I have definetley not lost any fluid although I wish it would start leaking so we could get this going! It was fun to see Abby on the ultrasound again though, they are estimating her weight at 7 pounds 1 ounce, and she is measuring at 38 weeks and 2 days, I am currently 37 weeks and 2 days, so she could easily still come a week or so early, which would be great. We were sent home at about 1:30 in the morning, I have not had any more contractions since we got home so I guess we just wait and see what happens!

Baby? Maybe?

So I went to the doctor on Monday, I was about 70% but not dialated. This morning around 4 am I woke up with mild cramps, so I called the doctor, they said to wait until it became more intense, and contractions are closer together. I think that I might be progressing a little, walking no longer helps. We will keep updates comming. hopefuly little Abby decides to come sooner than later.

Baby Shower

Saturday I had a baby shower with freinds and family. It was so great to see so many people that i have not seen in years. Reciving gifts was also tons of fun. We didn't take many pictures of the actual party, but here are some pictures of some of the cute outfits and quilts that I recieved. I can't wait to put Abby in all of the cute outfits. Today I started putting a bag together for the hospital, I hope that I have thought of everythingt, but I guess I still have some time to make sure. I still can't believe how fast time has gone by, she will be here sooner than I know it!!!

34 week photo shoot

My amature photographer sister thought it woud be fun to take some pictures of me, so here are some of them!

34 weeks

I can't beleive how fast time has gone by I am already 34 weeks pregnant, and loving it ( well for the most part). We only have six more weeks to go, and can't wait to have her here to hold and cuddle. On Wednesday we had our movie ( Red Box)  and dinner (at home) date night, yes I realize we are cheap, while we were picking out a movie Jeff was picking up a couple of pumpkins to make pumpkin pies with.On the way home I looked over at him and he had put one of them under his shirt and said "hey now I look like you!" I think he is just jealous of my belly. I thought it was pretty cute though. I wish we had a more updated ultrasound picture of Abby but this one will have to do, here she is at 24 weeks!

Summer recap

I can't beleive how fast time has gone by, the summer has gone way to fast for me. I seems like not to long ago we were announcing that we were having a baby, and now she is only six weeks away from joining our little family. We are so excited and cannot wait to have her here.
Our summer was filled with fun vacations with our families. In July we went to Midway for a weekend with Jeff's family. Lagoon was another fun treat for us, we had not been for several years, Of course I did not do much riding, it was still fun to watch everyone else having fun.
Going to Park City has always been a tradition with my family, and was another fun adventure for us this summer.
My sister and I had a girls day, including pedicures and the Kenny Chesney concert, which was a blast. We have decided that going to a concert each summer is going to be a tradition that we will continue, I can't wait to see what we come up with for next summer.
