Abby's costume came today, I am excited to put her in it! We are thinking about painting a patch on her face as well.

First Hair DO

This morning I decided to try and do something with Abby's hair this was the result I think it turned out good. Jeff on the other hand doesn't like it at all. It definetly makes her look different. What do you think ?





Note the scratch on her head. She was playing at a family reunion on Sturday and fell. She is sooo adventurous!

Fun at the fair

I had Thursday off work, and it was the opening day of the Utah State Fair ( which meant $4 tickets ) with that kind of deal we decided to take Abby to the fair for the first time. She did very well and seemed to enjoy herself, even though it was cold and windy at the begining. I wasn't great at getting pictures but managed to get a few good ones.
I am a paranoid mom with a medical background so she was no allowed to touch the animals, except the piglet in one of the pictures. I washed her hands with a bit of hand sanatizer afterward.
We were exiting one of the buildings there was a robot outside talking to a group of people, Abby came into his view and he started talking to her and she laughed and laughed.

Poison Controll and dishwasher soap

Soo this afternoon we made our first call to poison control. Abby was playing with some towels and toys in the kitchen while I was taking cupcakes out of the pan, I looked down and sne was fine, a split second later ( and I mean split second) I caught her with one of these in each hand and the powder coming out of her mouth.




She immediatly threw up and we called poison controll who informed us that this is a very common thing for young children to get into. The lady told us to watch Abby's mouth and skin because the two chemicals in the soap can cause skin burns. We were also giving her lots of fluid to get it out of her mouth, and gave her a quick bath to get it all off her skin. She is doing fine now, the funny thing is I don't think it phased her at all.
I immediatly went and bought cupboard latches that I have been meaning to buy for a few weeks now. I guess this is what I get for puting it off!

University of Utah Fan Fest

Last Sturday Abby and I went to the University of Utah Fan Fest with my parents and Camile. This is something we look forward to every year, we missed last year because the University cancelled the fan fest, so we were especially excited this year. We had a great time and Abby was a hit as ussual. She was sooo brave. She didn't cry or get scared when I would hand her off to have her picture taken with the athletes.











These are all pics taken with the gymnasts ! We have attended meets every year since I was in first or second grade ( can't remember specifically) and have become huge fans!
The next day we found the last picture as the gymnasts profile picture on facebook!
