Thanksgiving Baby

We were able to come home yesterday evening. We were happy to sleep in our own bed again, and have Abby sleeping in her bed as well. The first night home went pretty well, we managed to get about 6 hours of sleep, Abby has been a good sleeper so far, I am not sure how long that will last, but we will enjoy it while we can. She has already changed since she was born, We keep saying that we wish she would just stay little like this forever, but we are exciterd to watch her grow and become her own little person.

Here are some pictures of her first couple of days-

Recent News

Life has been going well for us since the last post. Jeff is starting week two of the new term at school, this will be his last term working on his Associates degree, then he will start working on his Bachelors, which should only take about another year or so. I can't wait until he is done, it will be  nice to not have to worry about a school schedule any more.Paying back both of our student loans is another story. I wish I could say that todays doctors appointment went bttter than it did, I am 38 weeks and 5 days, I am 90% and 1 cm, which has not changed in the last two weeks. The doctor said that he would be able to induce me once I am one week overdue, which would be December 2nd. I have a feeling that I am going to follow in the footsteps of my mom, I was 8 days late! I guess I can't get too bumed out yet, I technically still have a week until my actual due date, I just wish that my body would start helping me out more. This Saturday is my last scheduled day of work, so with only three shifts left I will stay busy for another week and see what happens.

No Baby yet

We ended up going to the hospital at about 7 pm last night to see if the contractions I had ben having were making any difference, of course with my luck nothing had changed since monday. But while we were there the nurses decided that I was dehydrated, and gave me fluids which are amazing I felt like myself for the first time that day. They also noticed that I had a very slight fever, which resulted in having a nasal wash and being tested for the swine flu I was really frustrated about that, I have had both flu shots and have no symptoms whatsoever ( I think the test will be negative, It would sure make my life alittle easier). I also had an ultrasound to check fluid levels, everything is fine, I have definetley not lost any fluid although I wish it would start leaking so we could get this going! It was fun to see Abby on the ultrasound again though, they are estimating her weight at 7 pounds 1 ounce, and she is measuring at 38 weeks and 2 days, I am currently 37 weeks and 2 days, so she could easily still come a week or so early, which would be great. We were sent home at about 1:30 in the morning, I have not had any more contractions since we got home so I guess we just wait and see what happens!

Baby? Maybe?

So I went to the doctor on Monday, I was about 70% but not dialated. This morning around 4 am I woke up with mild cramps, so I called the doctor, they said to wait until it became more intense, and contractions are closer together. I think that I might be progressing a little, walking no longer helps. We will keep updates comming. hopefuly little Abby decides to come sooner than later.
