A morning at the zoo

Today we finaly made it to the zoo after many weeks of saying we would go, we had alot of fun. Abby seemed to enjoy it more than I thought she would. We saw an elephant show and a bird show, she quickly figured out that birds were flying right over our heads and would follow them across the theater. At one point the keeper had the parrot screech, it was pretty loud. That was the only part that she didn't like.

Cupcakes

So I have been watching "The Cake Boss" way too much, but it has inspired me to take up a new hobby Cake (cupcake) decorating. I was already planning to make a caterpillar cake for Abby's first birthday, so now I am even more excited to see it come together. Today I bought a cupcake baking tin and gave cupcake decorating a try this was the result:



I need more practice with frosting consistency but I thought they turned out pretty good for not really knowing what I am doing.

Standing ?

Standing unsupported at 7( almost 8 ) months who would have thought! I think it is pretty neat that she has figured it out, she will be walking before we know it.

Lu and The Stairs

We decided to test Abby's skills today and wow she is a pro at climbing stairs! she had already climbed about three times before I got the camera out, so by this time she was tired of climbing but she got pretty excited toward the end. Oh yeah she can also stand up unsupported for about 5- 10 seconds. She thinks she is pretty cool until she gets distraced and looses her balance. It is soo fun to watch her grow and discover new things.




I don't know what happened to the sound. It kinda looks like Jeff is pushing her, but really he is tickling her to get her going again.
