This afternoon after coming home from church we laid Abby down for her nap, about 30-45 min in we strted hearing some rustling noises from her room. I walked in and found a layer of baby powder and lotion covering nearly every surface in the room. It was all I could do to keep myself from doing something I would have regreted later. I now sit with a huge pile of laundry. She is supposed to be napping now, I just checked on her and she now has all 5 pairs of underware around her ankles falling forward on her bed getting up and doing it over and over again. It is really a good thing that tommorow is "cleaning day".
We really do love her soooo much but being a parent can be extremly challenging from one day to the next!

New Roles, and a potty training breakthrough...
This last week has been busy, productive and the end of the routine that we have had for so long. Jeff finished working at Primary Childrens, and I finished my last week as a full time employee!!!! We now have this weekend to enjoy our time as a family and prepare four our new roles. We have also been caleed to be primary teachers for the sunbeams. We are excited to teach the 3 year olds of our ward!
Attempting to Potty Train Abby is on my TO DO list. she suprised me Thursday evening, while running her bath water she sat on the toilet and to my suprise she peed in the potty for the first time, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I was thrilled. I told her that she needed to let us know when she needed to go again. So just before starting her bedtime routine of brushing teeth, story, prayer, etc... she began to grab at herself, we quickly got ther to the toilet and she peed again in the toilet!!! Friday was a busy , runing errands kind of day. So when I did have her try going potty she wasn't very interested, but did have a few trickles. So I thought the previous evening was a fluke! Tonight while running bathwater again she sat on the tiolet and peed!!!!!!!!!!! She definetly knows how this works, now getting her to do it all the time is going to be the trick!
I have to say after being home yesterday, I think I will really enjoy staying home more! I am becoming more comfortable with the idea/ reality that our finaces will be extremly tight but it will work out in the end.

Graduating and a new job.....
Jeff finished his classes for his bachelors degree just before christmas!!!! Last week he was offered a job!! He will be working as a drivers liscence examiner at the DMV Draper location. This means that I will be switching from working full time, to working part time and staying home with Abby a lot more!!!!! We are very excited about this change and are ready to move forward in our lives. We are also a bit nervous about how the financial end of things is going to work out. We have faith that everything will work out.
I am very glad that I have figured out much more inexpensive ways to clean our home and wash our laundry. Though these are small things I feel it is a way for me to help conserve our income for bills and such.
We can't wait to start this new chapter in our lives, things are going to get crazy around here!

Christmas...
This year christmas was a bit smaller than it has been in the past. Jeff and i gave each other things that we needed, like... new skillets and silverware along with itunes gift cards. We gave Abby a couple books, a movie and a couple little toys from the dollar section at target. I shouldn't have been suprised but the dollar toys were a hit!
We spent Christmas Eve at my parents, where Abby was spoiled, she got a bunch of "big girl" toys to keep at Grandmas house.

Abby really loves her new shopping cart!
I wish I would have taken more pictures, but I really enjoyed taking the time to sit and help/ watch her open gifts and see the excitement on her face

2nd Birthday pictures...
Abby really enjoyed having so much family come to her birthday party back in November. I have just now collected the pictures so here they are..... ( in no specific order) ...

Brynlee ( my cousins daughter) was really enjoying the wrapping paper!

Time for cake, Abby is now a proffesional at blowing out candles! She had to have them re-lit a few times, because once was just not enough.
