Fun Sunny Day

Today Abby and I spent the day at my parents. My dad and cousin Matt were working on my parents pond in their backyard. Abby had fun watching and playing.
First time playing in the dirt

That fountain is pretty cool

The water was a little cold but she loved playing in it!

Another proud of myself moment

I can't believe I was and continue to make all of this for Abby with this kind of stash I should be able to stop pumping in the next few months and not have to feed her formula.
Yes that is all my milk, The second shelf does allow my parents to have some frozen food for themselves!!!
( That is about 5 months worth of momma milk!!! )

Baby Food

Making baby food may have just become a new hobby of sorts for me I love the fact that we will be saving tons of money, and I know exactly what Abby is eating. Sounds wierd but hey I guess that is the life of a mom!
All it takes is a blender and some overly boiled/ cooked veggies and viola!!

The finished product

The batch I made last week before I realzed that freezing the food in ice cube trays and putting it in ziplocks is a huge space saver.

As you can see I am very proud of myself!

Saving

Lately I have been more motivated to save money. Trying to figure out how to make paying back my school loans and still make our budget work has been interesting, although we were able to pay off my car and a credit card with our tax refund this year I am still constantly trying to think of ways to save on some of the small stuff. Coupons have been my best friends latley Jeff tends to think I am obsesive at times, but I just can't stand the thought of throwing away diaper coupons, 20% off coupons from babys R us, or baby food coupons that have or will expire soon, to me it is like throwing away money! I have also began to make some of Abby's baby food I actually have enjoyed making it more than I thought I would. I have made squash, avacado, yams, peas and broccolli. It has been soooo easy I can buy a bag of frozen veggie for about a dollar and it will make about 7-10 conatiners of food. You can't beat that price especially when two containers of baby food generally cost a dollar! I am  excited that I have been able to find some simple ways to help save us some money!!!

Easter Fun

Easter was great we were able to get together with family to celebrate. Conference was also great, what I was able to watch at least. Jeff an I both worked night shifts that weekend, making it hard to watch much of conference. Since we were both working Saturday night Abby had her first sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa Poulters house, she did great!
This is Abby in her pretty Easter dress that Grandma had for her.

what a classic " I have been caught look"

Mmmmm feet, she has been fascinated with her feet lately. I wish that I was that flexible!
