First dentist visit and 15 month checkup

Yesterday Abby had her first dental checkup. Jeff brought her to the office I work at we figured why not, it is free after all! she did just as well as any one year old does! Her teeth checked out great al 6 of them !
Later in the afternoon she had her 15 month Dr. appointment, she got two shots. She seemed to remember what happens there, when we started taking her clothes off to be weighed, she began freaking out. It took three of us to hold her down for an accurate height measurement. She is healthy and developmently doing awesome. Although she has only gone from 18.7 lbs to 18.94 lbs. Yes she has only gained about 2 ounces in three months. The doctor seemed a little concerned, but did not come out and say it. She did take into account that Jeff and I are both small and he is taller. And that her activity level is crazzy high!
So now we are trying to figure out how to get extra calories into our little miss, any ideas or suggestions would be great!
I just don't want to be in the same boat as we were when she was jus a week or so old and going in for weight checks every other day or so. Abby goes back in for a 18 month well child check at the end of May , so hopefully we can get her to gain weight.

A little froggy

SO little Abby loves to squeel and yell in a very earpiercing screech ( she does this as a very happy and playing kind of thing ), and had been doing so for a couple days straight this week. So Thursday I came home and she almost sounded like she was getting croup. Thankfully she has just given herself a very sore throat from squeeling and yelling so much. It is sad to see her cough because her throat is sore. But it is also a little funny to see her try to yell and not be able to. And to think I thought this would teach her not to yell so much, what was I thinking !

Yarn

Oh how I love it, last weekend I started stocking up again. Actually Jeff went to get a blanket to give to a couple in our ward who are expecting, and found only four very boring loking blankets left. He later told me that I needed to replenish the supply of baby blankets for giving away ! This meant i needed to go shopping for yarn!!! So of I went, thank goodness for budgets or I would have bought the entire yarn section of the store. When I get in there I have all these visions of super fun things I could do.

So this was the result of my shopping trip, I will have go back when we get paid again, to finish tocking up.

I love turning that pile into these ....

Who knew a vacum attatchment could be so entertaining ?

Of course my child would get a kick out of playing with the vacum attatchment. Recently she has been exploring different ways that it might work. This is the best way so far......

Bathtime fun !

Recently we have switched from using baby shampoo to using our regular adult shampoo with Abby. She now loves to lay in the tub while we wash her hair. We have also discovered why she likes standing up in the tub, she can see her reflection in the faucet (Tap,, or whatever it is called )! she is so funny to watch.

I am hoping that this makes spending time in the pool this summer a little easier.

First Play Group

Our ward has a play group durring the winter, at the church, in the nursery room. Jeff decided to take Abby this last week, he said that she did very well. I was happy to hear that, and proud that she was able to play and get along with the other kids.

All Girl !

Today Abby figured out how zippers work, so after unzipping her bag of blocks, next came my makeup bag. Luckily she hasn't figured out how to untwist the caps !

A couple of nights ago my patience had comlpetly run out and i decided to sit her in the bathroom sink while I cleaned a little around the bathroom, needles to say she was entertained with the morror and toothbrushes for about 10 - 15 minutes. Here is a video I got of part of the entertainment.I can't get the video to load so you will have to relly on your imagination. I will try again tommorow !

Lastly I found this picture on the camera a couple days ago, ironically my mom was showing Jeff and I pictires of me at a year and there was one very similar to this,

Pictures of our little lady

I am constantly amazed at how entertaining my kitchen utility drawer ( free of dangerous items), towel drawer and under stove drawer ( where the pots and pans are kept) can be to a one year old. Oh not to mention mine and Jeffs toothbrushes.

Oh yeah sitting in very small baskets while playing with toys is also a favorite thing right now. I tried taking her out ( not a good idea ), so I helped her get back in ( also not a good idea ), she insists on doing so many things on her own.

She hates having her teeth brushed, but could spend hours sucking and chewig on our toothbrushes. I scheduled her first dentist appointment today, we will see how that goes.
The other night in the bathtub she took self discovery to a whole new level, she has discovered her girl parts. and is fascinated!

All the little things.....

Here we are at the begining of Ferbruary it has been soooo cold here the last weeek or so, all three of us are ready for warmer weather. Poor Abby has been stuck inside all day, and for a girl who love going outside to play at least once or twice daily it has been tough. She loves to bring us her coat and shoes expecting to go out, then gets so upset when we tell her it is too cold to go out!

Lately I have had to remind myself that the little things in life are the most important. I have been feeling alot of stress over everyday things, like am I being a good employee, am I being a good enough mother, wife, sister, daughter etc......
The stress of paying bills, and paying off school loans, and credit card bills has been particularly stressful. I mean we don't make alot of money but we do live a comfortable life and have everything we need.

Jeff has been amazing, staying home during the week while I work, going to school every night and working weekends. I couldn't ask for a better husband or father for my children.

We have all finally gotten over whatever cold has been going around, thankfully Abby never had much more than a runny/ stuffy noseand a little cough, which was more dramatized than real of course. She is definelty a girl, all drama all the time!

Back to reminding myself that the little things are the most important, I love coming home after a long day at work. As soon as Abby hears my keys go into the door she starts squeling and yelling mamamama ! It makes me smile every time!

I have developed a hobby of sorts, couponing! I want to get as good at it as those ladies who post pictures of what should have cost over $100 , and they paid $30 for it. I am getting really excited to have the grocery store clerk say you saved .....$. Whatever amount it ends up being. I need to figure out a better way to organize the coupons that I am acumulating, right now I am trying a couple small purse size photo albums which are O.K. but I would like to find something a little more organized, but is still small. Any tips are appreciated. Speaking of coupons I need to finish organizing the ones I have complied this week !
