New Job and Stay at home Dad

This last Monday I started my new job, it is awesome! I was a little sad to leave PCMC but not as much as I thought I would be. There are definetly alot of perks with this job, things like not working at night, not working weekends and most importantly not working holidays. Also not planning my life around when the next schedule request is due is great ( I am sooo glad I will not have to do that again).

Jeff has become a stay at home dad during the week and is still working his two shifts each weekend at the PCMC and will be for a while still. he has taken on this new challenge of being home with Abby while I am at work, and has been great! He has taken her to the library, and they spend alot of time playing outside when it is nice, this weeks weather did not cooperate much. I am so greatful for him for all he does to take care of her.

Abby is definetly her own little person, so independent and wanting to be at least twice her age.( she will be 9 months old on Tuesday) Just days after cutting her second tooth she decided that she was a big girl and doesn't want anything to do with baby food. If it is not something that we are eating or some sort of tabe food that she can feed herself she will not eat. What a little stinker. Unfortunatly I had just stocked up because she had been eating 2- 3 jars of food at each meal, my mom had also stocked up because she had been watching Abby for us while we worked our crazy hours. So now I had no clue what to do with it all! I tried making fruit leather with the fruit,that didn't turn out.Next I tried mixing some of the fruit with plain yogurt that didn't work either.( she really only lkes it when we are eating it also and it has to be out of the original container, not in a baby size bowl or with a baby spoon) I also tried mixing the veggies with things like her portion of spaghetti or caseroles, and again she is too smart, she refused to eat any of it!


She is a pro with the sippy cup when she wants to be !
